C-Band Monopulse Planar Array and Feeding Network

چکیده
Monopulse radars operate with simultaneous beams and are used for tracking purposes, relying only on hardware to provide a real-time indication of the target position. A monopulse array its feeding network is implemented tested, in frequency 5.4 GHz, based patch antennas using dieletric wide bandwidth high gain. The system field styrofoam as pattern was evaluated two different environments, shielded room an indoor area. Results agreed simulation either individual elements well final integrated array.

Synthesis of Monopulse Sub-arrayed Linear and Planar Array Antennas with Optimized Sidelobes
In this paper, three approaches for the synthesis of the optimal compromise between sum and difference patterns for subarrayed linear and planar arrays are presented. The synthesis problem is formulated as the definition of the sub-array configuration and the corresponding sub-array weights to minimize the maximum level of the sidelobes of the compromise difference pattern. In the first approac...
متن کاملKa-Band Monopulse Antenna-Pointing Systems Analysis and Simulation
NASA’s Deep Space Network (DSN) has been using both 70-m and 34-m reflector antennas to communicate with spacecraft at S-band (2.3 GHz) and X-band (8.45 GHz). To improve the quality of telecommunication and to meet future mission requirements, JPL has been developing 34-m Ka-band (32-GHz) beamwaveguide antennas. Presently, antenna pointing operates in either the open-loop mode with blind pointi...
متن کاملA Novel Monopulse Technique for Adaptive Phased Array Radar
The monopulse angle measuring technique is widely adopted in radar systems due to its simplicity and speed in accurately acquiring a target's angle. However, in a spatial adaptive array, beam distortion, due to adaptive beamforming, can result in serious deterioration of monopulse performance. In this paper, a novel constrained monopulse angle measuring algorithm is proposed for spatial adaptiv...
متن کاملan infinite planar array of rectangular microstrip patch antenna analysis
the methods which are used to analyze microstrip antennas, are divited into three categories: empirical methods, semi-empirical methods and full-wave analysis. empirical and semi-empirical methods are generally based on some fundamental simplifying assumptions about quality of surface current distribution and substrate thickness. thses simplificatioms cause low accuracy in field evaluation. ful...
